INGLEWOOD TIP AND T2K PRONTO

T2K PRONTO sits down with Inglewood TIP to get some straight-up knowledge on street life and grind from becoming a boss in his own business.

Known as Tip Toe in his home city of Inglewood, CA, he was given the moniker Inglewood Tip by a business associate based on the character Boston George from the movie Blow. His exploits in other states led to him being well respected in the streets and added to his life story, on which his music is based. After years of earning a generous income in the streets, in 2006, Tip decided to jump into the music industry, but not as an artist. He assumed the role of an independent label owner and introduced us to his M.A.D.E.L.I.F.E. ENTERTAINMENT and its talented roster of new artists. They created a buzz on the streets of Los Angeles through their highly acclaimed stage shows, as they performed at several venues in the city, including the legendary Knitting Factory, Key Club, and House of Blues on the sunset strip. After a few years of not being happy with the work ethic and dedication of his artists, and with the urging of several friends, Tip decided to step into the studio and try his hand at rapping and telling his own story. He dropped his first mixtape in 2010, which was well-received on his city streets. Following the birth of his son in 2013 and the death of his uncle in 2014, Tip was not focused on recording new music of his own. He focused more on his ghostwriting efforts and contemplated separating from the game altogether. In 2017 he returned to the game with the release of his “7108 EP” and a mixtape series, “Some More Of It,” as he released Vol. 1-5 in just one year! With a host of independent efforts he has released, there has been no shortage of his self-proclaimed ‘Intelligent Trap Music’ to provide a soundtrack for those trying to make a way out of no way. He strives to cement further his place in the Inglewood and Hip-Hop history books!
